Si tu meaning “if you” is the 4th poem in the Garland of 6 poems written by ancient Roman woman poet Sulpicia. Sulpicia has a deadly fever. And in essence says “if you love me I will surely live!”. The music creates more movement in the last verse expressing optimism as Sulpicia ulimately recovers and is reunited with her secret lover Cerinthius in the the next poem
