Film Description:

The official music video for “No One Walks On Water (Anymore)” dives into a steampunk-inspired world of animated whimsy, perfectly reflecting the inventive sound of BarIng All’s debut album, There Goes My Compass. Gears turn, airships drift, and surreal mechanical seas shimmer beneath a clockwork sky. Through this dreamlike landscape, a lone wanderer searches for meaning in a world where faith and fantasy collide. Playful yet profound, the video captures the essence of losing direction — and finding wonder in the process.

Steve Bartek and Ira Ingber are BarIng All. Conceived, developed, and inspired by their shared desires to journey on musical roads less traveled, their ever-growing body of work surprises, challenges, and ultimately rewards the listener.

With countless years of both recording and live performances as individuals or together in such musically diverse contexts as Bob Dylan, Oingo Boingo, Brian Wilson, Captain Beefheart, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Frank Sinatra (to name a few), Steve and Ira communicate nearly telepathically. Oftentimes it truly is telepathy. This happens not only when they play guitars together, but when composing and mixing their BarIng All pieces as well.

Like film directors do, they have cast other musicians for spotlight roles in their songs. Because of the respect they’ve earned from their fellow musicians, the performances these outside artists have brought to BarIng All are notable, not only for their intrinsic virtuosity, but for the ways in which they contribute to the “whole.” They don’t seem to mind being tortured. Just a little.
