The Ensemble Mshakht, active since 2017, reflects the musical part of the ONG Walking Arts-Art, Culture & Heritage, founded in Iraq to promote the social development of artistic expression among new generations.
In June 2021, 30 members of the Mshakht’s Ensemble from various areas of Iraq, gathered in Sulaymaniya-Irak on a 5-day retreat.
Within the walls of the Deir Maryam Al-Adhra monastery, their 2nd CD was recorded and later post-produced in Italy, in collaboration with the New Landscapes Quartet.
