Film Description:

Still Life is a piece of artists film exploring our relationship with inanimate objects.

The film focuses on seven objects taken from The Smithsonian Institutes recently published library of 3D scans of artefacts in their collection. In the film the objects are reinterpreted to create an exhibition of paintings, sketches, digital video and film installation.

‘What’s the Story of the world? The story of our lives?’ asks the narrator at the opening of the film, as we move through the exhibition, exploring our intimate and emotional connection with seemingly inert objects.
