Film Description:
This film works at the threshold.
The threshold of perception, the edge of a face, the edge of the world.
It opens on an extremity : a woman’s eyelashes.
Not a full face, not even a gaze — but the boundary of sight itself.
A flicker.
The eyelid becomes territory, the frontier between inside and out.
The tram, in motion, already suggests a passage.
But here, it is not space that moves — it is vision itself that unravels.
Little by little, the figure fades.
The world emerges.
Foliage, traces of light, reflections — not as objects, but as phenomena.
We are no longer seeing things, but the act of seeing itself.
The camera tells no story.
It exposes the unfolding of the visible in its fragility, its fluidity.
It does not show a subject in the world, but the way the world appears through a body — and then beyond it.
This cinematic gesture echoes phenomenology in its barest form:
it seeks to return to experience,
to the birth of vision,
to the moment when the image ceases to represent and becomes a pure appearance.
The film follows a trajectory with no destination.
From face to foliage.
From blinking lashes to rays of light.
From the intimate to the diffuse.
From the human to the abstract.
But this is not disappearance.
It is a transfiguration of presence.
A way of turning vision into a passage, a drift,
a silent listening to what always slips between forms.
