In this 3D-simulated paper-cut silhouette animation, a “flip-book” world comes alive as each page turns, revealing the delicate, shadowy contours of Johnny and River’s lifelong bond. When River passes away before him, Johnny’s final breath is filled with memories of the promise they made as children: to meet again on the moon. Through shifting silhouettes and layered cut-paper frames recreated with 3D techniques, the film weaves a wordless narrative of love, loss, and hope, guiding Johnny—and the audience—on a poignant journey from childhood dreams to a timeless lunar reunion.
