Film Description:

This is the story of a young boy Chintu and his innocent hope. The hope that if he manages to find a “Goolar Ka Phool”, his mother, who has left the world, will return to him.
The boy lives in a semi-urban area of Lucknow, capital of India’s biggest state, Uttar Pradesh, with his parents. When his mother dies in an accident, his father marries another woman. At this juncture Chintu starts missing his mother badly. The father loves his son but shows his emotions only when he is drunk. One day Chintu hears a saying — if a person finds a flower of Goolar, all his wishes will be realized. But it is said the mythical flower blooms only at midnight and that to for merely two seconds.
This gives Chintu hope — if he can find the flower, his mother may return.
He goes to a Goolar tree at midnight, night after night – never to find either the flower or his lost mother. The film ends with Chintu having grown up to be a successful man — maybe because of the hope that his mother may return one day. The film’s theme is: hope never dies.
