Film Description:

Water is an essential part of man and nature, without which there is no life.
In Europe, waters create »jewels« of natural wonders such as rivers, lakes, waterfalls, caves, gorges etc.
In this documentary TV series, we will get as close as possible to the particular »jewels« of slowenian waters and present them in time and space.
We will discover what flora and fauna surronds the particular water »jewels« and specially, how the particular water »jewels« affect the life of the inhabitants and visitors.

Ecology will be the »fill rouge« of the Water Cycle, with the intent to show how we nowadays care for, and what more could be done to preserve the »jewels« in their unspoiled, natural form. Without negative impacts of industry, progress and pollution.

Slovenian waters are also a reflexion of the european humanist spirit, which lived here and created throughout the centuries. The rivers, caves, gorges, springs have always been a inexhaustible source of inspiration for many a great european artist (for example Prešeren, Beethoven).
