Film Description:
Van Henegouwen follows the scammers Damian and Thijs, a duo whose experiences with dishonesty and injustice have shaped a radical view of morality. Determined to make a statement, they dedicate themselves to confronting the wealthy and powerful, They set out to kidnap the CEO Bernard van Henegouwen at the airport. While Thijs poses as Bernard’s chauffeur to lure him into a taxi, Damian distracts the real driver, Sinan, by impersonating Bernard himself. Their carefully constructed plan begins to unravel during the taxi ride when Sinan senses Damian’s true intentions. As Thijs gradually loses control and becomes a potential threat to Bernard, Sinan challenges Damian’s convictions, forcing him to question whether injustice can truly be fought through revenge. Damian discovers that Sinan lives with multiple sclerosis (MS) and risks his own wellbeing every day to provide for his family. The situation reaches a tragic turning point when Damian discovers that Thijs, driven by desperation, has murdered Bernard. As the two scammers blame each other for the collapse of their mission, Thijs becomes unable to live with the consequences of his actions and chooses to end his life. Damian, however, decides to face the consequences and confront the reality of what they have done.
