Film Description:
Seth, a middle-aged balding gay man with an inexplicably hot young latino beau, Beau, has his world turned upside down when his wealthy Republican sister Amanda from Texas, suddenly knocks on his door waving her gun for ‘protection from tattoo-wearing Silverlake people’ and demands entrance after a 20-year estrangment. Amanda caught her volley-ball partner from college who she seems to be in love with according to her brother, having sex with her husband. Just as Seth is feverishly preparing his apartment for a weekend to have sex for the first time in 7 months with his beau, Beau. Amanda doesn’t believe Beau is real, having grown up with Seth’s parade of invisible friends. Their snarky banter and cantankerous relationship pick up where they left off 20 years ago when Seth ‘came out’. Enter ‘Mumsie’ as their boozy, highly sexual mother with a voracious appetite for short marriages, asking for an ice refill for her vodka in the middle of the night.
